Mumbai: Actor Shilpa Shetty exchanged greetings with some Indian members of the Rajasthan Royals and welcomed UltraTech as a team sponsor for the DLF-IPL season II before the team left for South Africa.
Shilpa, who has a 12 per cent stake in the champion team along with Raj Kundra, made a faux pas when she turned to (seamer) Siddharth Trivedi and said: “I hope you spin the ball more this time!”
Shilpa said she had not spoken to captain Shane Warne and said she would soon come to grips with the game.
The Indian members of the team — Mohammad Kaif, Swapnil Asnodkar, Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Mahesh Rawat, Dinesh Salunkhe and Niraj Patel besides Trivedi — have since left for South Africa. — Special Correspondent
